Folios 71-72. A letter from J [John] Ellis to Ambassador [Joseph] Williamson, dated at Whitehall [London, Middlesex]. The King [William III] has not yet gone to Windsor [Castle, Berkshire] but the Duke of Shrewsbury, who is ill, has returned to Woburn [Bedfordshire]. The House of Commons has 'flung out their bill for regulating elections'. The King of Spain is not dead [as rumoured]; there are no longer rumours of a ministerial change; and some suspects are being examined for disturbing the King and the government.
