Refers to: King [William's] continued presence in Windsor [Castle, Berkshire], and his intention to return to Kensington [Palace, following the recent fire at the palace of Whitehall; the Countess of Essex having smallpox; and the impending dispatch of Lord Paget's secretary to The Hague [Netherlands], and meeting with 'the Pensioner' [the Grand Pensionary, Anthonie Heinsius].
