Description

Folios 45-46. A letter from Ja [James] Vernon to Ambassador [Joseph] Williamson, dated at Whitehall [London, Middlesex], concerning the King's approval for the ambassador's insistence on not admitting any act of inclusion not conformable to the treaty [?of Ryswick]. Also mentions that 'a little forbearance' is needed from all in the King's service on account of the present situation of the Treasury and the Exchequer. The Duke of Shrewsbury is due in town [London].
