Folio 83. [Robert] Yard reporting to Sir Joseph Williamson [Nine Years' War]. Regarding Jacobites: Lord Newburgh [Charles Livingston], who was in the Proclamation, has surrendered himself, and both he and [Robert Leke] Earl of Scarsdale are upon bail. Several ships of the fleet have come to Spithead to repair their masts and rigging, and will be ready to sail again in a few days. The train of artillery which lately came to Portsmouth is now shipping there, and the transport ships which lie in the river are hastening thither. The Earl of Portland left here last Tuesday, but the 'Dunkirk', which was appointed to be his convoy, ran aground in going out of the river, and was forced to throw her upper tier of guns overboard; she then got off again. Mention of Lord Forbes and Mr [George] St George who might 'likewise come in' [surrender themselves].
