Folio 70. John Rooke to Catherine [Katherine] Lady O'Brien, Baroness Clifton. He is glad she received the keys and Acts of Parliament safely. Mr Brockett does not intend that anything should be done in the tenants' business till her further directions. He expected Crump's bill but they have not yet copied it out; as soon as he has it he will send her a copy and will speak to the woollen draper who has lent the £ 1,000 on the estate. He will also wait on Mr Martin on Monday morning, and will send the postilion down by Monday morning's tide. He received the enclosed (not included in this volume), and her letter to Lady [Elizabeth] Powerscourt [wife of Folliott Wingfield, Viscount Powerscourt] that he sent away by the night's post.
