Folio 58. T [Thomas] Jermyn to [My Lord]. He arrived in Southampton last Tuesday, and learned that there was no ship at Portsmouth ordered for him or bound for Jersey, so he went over to the Isle of Wight where he heard the Earl of Monmouth was, in hopes to pass in the same vessel. But Monmouth had sailed in a small privateer, so Jermyn is now without any opportunity of embarking. He is willing to wait for the 'Isabella' rather than trouble the Lords of the Admiralty for a new order.
