Captured ship: Providence of Falmouth (master Richard Jones).
History: an English ship, bound from Malaga to Topsham, laden with raisins for Bryan Rogers of Falmouth; taken on 4 December 1673 off the Lizard by a Dutch privateer; retaken on 6 December 1673 by HMS Dartmouth (Edward Pinn commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
Documents: 1 (plus cover) - certificate that cargo in danger from leaks (at Plymouth). Plus cover endorsed as for 6 papers and as received on 24 December 1673.
