Description

Folios 320-321: Thomas Rogers, Portsmouth. Having been paid off HMS Vesuvius yesterday encloses a report of her qualities and also the private signals [not present], secret instructions [not present] and sealed Rendezvous [not present] which he received from his predecessor Captain Charles Sawyer. States he is happy to be employed again in any service.

Folio 322: enclosed with folios 320-321. Address slip for Captain Thomas Rogers, at St Austins near Lymington, Hampshire.

Folio 323: enclosed with folios 320-321. Observations of the qualities of HMS Vesuvius dated 2 October 1794 by Thomas Rogers.
