The National College for Leadership of Schools and Children's Services was formerly known as the National College for School Leadership (established in 2000); it changed its name in September 2009. It was a government-funded non-departmental public body sponsored by the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) which offered head teachers, school leaders and senior children's services leaders opportunities for professional leadership development.
On 1 June 2011 it reverted to the name the National College for School Leadership.
