Folio 111. 'P-F to Lord Kingston'. Letter not only asking for his recommendation to Lady Waldegrave as one fit to manage her concerns but also relating the concerns of Lady Kingston at her husband's 'bold venture'. She begs that her husband does not venture further without a pass from England 'for there is no trusting those people, and the copies of the letters your lordship had at Lisle [?Lille] and which you sent to my Lady do but too plainly show how little confidence is to be put in them'. His absence cannot be kept secret for long and it would therefore be best to inform his friends, especially 'young Ronchi', of his whereabouts. Lord Melfort and Mr Nairns are mentioned.
