The Children's Workforce Development Council (CWDC) is an executive non-departmental public body sponsored by the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF). Most of its funding comes from DCSF, but it also gets smaller contributions from the Department of Health and other places. The CWDC was set up in 2005 to support the implementation of the government's 'Every Child Matters' strategy.
