P [Phineas] Bowles [Secretary to the Admiralty] to Wm [William] Blathwayt [Secretary at War], enclosing a list of the ships that make up the squadron designed for the Leeward Islands, Barbadoes, and Jamaica. Two of the hired ships (which Capt [Captain] Wright commander of the West Indies squadron is ordered to appoint) are designed convoys to Virginia and Jamaica. Mention of Admiral [Edward] Russell and the ship 'Queen of Spain'. List abovementioned not included in this volume.
