Folio 130. Lord Melville sending to [the Earl of Shrewsbury] some depositions made in Scotland with the copy of a letter from Mr Lindsay and another intercepted letter addressed to him. Melville would also like to know what to do with Lindsay, should he be kept prisoner or be sent to Scotland? Note written by Geo [George] Treby at the back of the letter, saying that if Lindsay is Scottish born, he may be sent into Scotland and tried there; and that the anonymous writer may be convicted on an indictment or information in England.
