Folios 111-113. The examinations of [Archibald] Cockburn, laird of Langtoun [Langton], and William Anderson, his servant. Taken before Lord Cardross, the master of Melville and the Council. State that Lord Langton (alleged supporter of James II and VII) kept correspondence with persons in England, namely William Anderson, his servant, and Katherine Brown, his lady's servant, but that he never treated of anything against the state. Mention of the Earl of Balcarres [Colin Lindsay], Sir George MacKenzie [Lord Tarbat], David Lindsay servitor to the Earl of Melfort [John Drummond], Mr Jameson, the Earl of Arran [James Hamilton], Sir Robert Hamilton, Sir William Campbell, and [the Earl of] Kilmarnock [William Boyd].
