Folios 77-78. Rector [Charles] Howson, minister of All Saints in Dorchester [Dorset] , wishing to inform the Earl of Shrewsbury that the government of this borough is composed of very ill members, who refused to associate and have been very backward in all public demonstration of joy either for His Majesty's glorious accession or on his success against his enemies. Especially Mr Ed Leister [Edward Lester], former governor [of the company of freemen] who said some bad things before the constables of the town. Also mention of one Mr George Leister [?Lester], a justice of the peace for the borough.
