The Duke of Bolton to the Earl of Shrewsbury; he always tried to comply with His Majesty's inclinations, and shall always be ready to show his kindness to his nephew Sir John Guyse [Guise], but he begs His Majesty not to degrade Colonel Norton's son. He also asks to keep the northern regiment in his name, intending it for one of his sons.
