Folios 61-62. Dr [Doctor] Symon [Simon] Patrick informing the Earl of Shrewsbury that he received a communication from Lord Bedford instructing him to wait upon the Earl immediately, but as the Earl had left for Hampton Court he is sending his reply by Mr Vernon. He recommends Mr Williams as his successor at Covent Garden; he understands that Dr Freeman has been recommended by others but Mr Williams is the fittest person for that charge.
