Platelet donations were managed by the National Blood Service and later on by NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) when it was established in 2005. The webpages relating to platelet donation within the National Blood Service and later the NHSBT websites are marked by yellow banners and text and are titled Platelet Donation. In 2015, the Platelet Donation webpages began incorporating the phrase 'Save a life' in their headings. In 2020, the phrase was changed to 'Do something amazing'.
