The petition of Jonathan Brown and William Wright seeking letters patent, with no further delay, in relation to their invention of a process for melting iron without the use of charcoal. Mentions their petition dated on 10 April 1720, the opposition of Thos [Thomas] Forrest and Sir Humphrey Mackworth, and the reports of the 11 June 1720 and 26 August 1720. With endorsement stating that the matter will be heard on 9 February 1721 before the committee of the Privy Council.
