A letter introducing Mr Reith, director of the late lace manufactury at Versailles [near Paris], [one of the returning artificers] requesting that he be allowed to import his property, chiefly unfinished stock, duty-free, and that he be given protection [against creditors]. Dated 3 February 1721 NS, and endorsed as received on ?10 March 1721.
