Folio 78. From Sir Theodore Janssen.
A memorandum outlining stocks held by the directors of the South Sea Company, arrested last February by Mr Renaud of Amsterdam [Netherlands], and in his own possession: George Clifford; Andrew Pels; Henry Tersmitten; Marcus Cockey. Janssen seeking to have the arrests reversed, as debts against which they were secured have been paid. An endorsement, in the hand of Charles Delafaye, states that 'My Lord can not intermeddle'.
