Petition of Humphrey Gardener, fisherman, of Worcester [Worcestershire] seeking an almsman's place in the Cathedral church. Witnesses by: Fr [Francis] Hare; Sam [Samuel] Stillingfleet; Tho [Thomas] Wylde. Endorsed, by Lord Stanhope, dated on 18 January 1721,with an order for the clerk of the signet to prepare a bill granting the petitioner his almsman's place.
