The Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA) was an executive non-departmental public body of the Home Office. It was established on 1 April 2006 under the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005 and was formed by the amalgamation of the National Crime Squad, the National Criminal Intelligence Service, the investigative and intelligence sections of HM Revenue and Customs on serious drug trafficking, and the Immigration Service's responsibilities for organised immigration crime.
On 7 October 2013 it was superceded by the new National Crime Agency (NCA).
