A letter in which the writers mentions his role in confronting views express in the 'Craftsman' {or 'The Craftsman: Being a Critique on the Times', an anti-Walpole Journal], and seeking that he be remembered should a vacany occur for Lord of the Bedchamber to the Prince of Wales. Received 9 August. (1) A commentary on current affairs touching on the present war, the state of trade, and the prosperity of nations. [Dated by reference to a state of war being in existence, and by a reference to 'Fog's Weekly Journal', published 1728-1737]. [See also SP 36 for 'The Craftsman'].
