A nominal list of 78 'offices that have passed the Great Seal'. The list ranges from the appointment, in 1673, of the housekeeper of Windsor Castle [Berkshire], Mr Randu; to that of Keeper of Gawle in Gloucestershire, in 1727. It includes offices ranging in status from the Secretary at War Mr Blathwayt in 1685, and Poet Leaureate Mr [Nahum] Tate; to the water bailiff of the River Sandwich, Mr Verrier, in 1712, and the clerk of the Mint, Mr Hall in 1689.
