Description

Part 2, Folio 18.

A memorandum concerning annual collections for: the poor at Christmas, raised by the Bishop of London and Lord Mayor of London; in favour of the Society for the Propagation of the Gospels; the French [Huguenot] refugees and the Orangeois; the Palatines [poor German Protestants]; and the [liberated] 'galley slaves' [of the French]. Endorsements include reference to 'lammoche', 'Bonet' and 'his Majesty's arrival'.
