Description

Part 2, Folios 24-25. From Westmoreland; J Chetwynd; Charles Cooke; P Dominique; T Pelham; Martin Bladen.. To Lords Justices [Regents]. Place: Whitehall [Middlesex].

A letter from the Trade Commissioners concerning the Treaty of Commerce between Danzig [Gdansk, Poland] and Great Britain, and a letter from the Resident Mr [James Bavington] Jeffereys. They propose changes to Article 11, dealing with lighters or 'vessels called bordings'; and raise the issue of taxes applied to trade in Danzig [West Prussia] which are not applied in Konigsberg [East Prussia, Kaliningrad, Russia] or Riga [Livonia, Latvia].
