The petition of William Hayser, printer, seeking relief, on account of being insulted and refused business for his role in bringing to justice John Matthews alias 'young Matthew Blood', who was executed [on 16 November 1719] for traitorous libel when publishing [in 1719] a tract entitled 'Vox Populi, Vox Dei' ['the voice of the people is the voice of God'].
