Petition of Robert Blackburn [Blackburne], asking King George I for his release. He was apprehended as he was under suspicion of planning the assassination of the late King William. and committed to Newgate in 1696. He was discharged some months later as no evidence was found against him, but was committed again later without any examination. Now that the Parliament has passed the Indemnity Act he does hope to benefit from the King's general amnesty. [?Jacobite].
