Description

Part 2, Folios 52-53. From Corporation of King's Heralds and Pursuivants of Arms. To King George.

Petition. Praying that the bill for a patent granting the office of Garter King of Arms to John Anstis and John Anstis, his son, by the style and title of Blanc Coursier Herald and Genealogist of the most honourable order of the same etcetera, may not be permitted to pass for the reasons given. Signed by Knox Ward, Peter Le Neve, Warburton, E [Edward] Stibbs, Ph [Philip] Jones and James Whorwood.
