Petition giving in great detail the events that followed an attack in Cork on his son Walter by six conspirators and praying that 'some care may be taken of your petitioner until well in health and that your petitioner may have £20 to pay Francis Akers and that he may discharge my son and bring him from Jomaka [Jamaica]' and that he and his son be recommended and referred to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland 'in order to be released from the oppressions and wrongs' done to them in Ireland. He names Colonel Standis [Standish] Barri [Barry/Barrie], Colonel Meynard [?Maynard], Major ?Clayton, Morris Hays, [?] Dalli [?Daley] ('two Irish papists'), Justice ?Railton, the Duke of Grafton, Lord Carteret (as Secretary of State), Mrs Letcher [sic], Mr William Barrett of Preston and John Cock.
