Petition of 800 seamen who formerly served aboard 'Her late Majesty's ships the 'Grafton' and the 'Chatham' Lord Forbes then Commodore'. That on 14 September 1710 they took three prizes two of which carried cargo of indigo, cochineal, cinnamon, 'elephants' teeth' but mainly 'enemy's plate to the value of three millions of money'; that Lord Forbes 'utterly refuses to give any account or part thereof' to them to their great detriment and praying that Lord Forbes, 'who is leaving the land', be ordered to appoint a responsible agent to answer the petitioners in the High Court of Chancery.
