Petition of the owners of the 'Southwell' for orders to be given to the consuls and Royal Navy for the apprehension of the 'Southwell' and her master John Berdoe currently at Leghorn [Livorno] as Berdoe refuses to return to England and threatens to keep the ship, of which he was appointed master six years previously. Signed by Grantham Bird, Katheren [sic] Broxell, Mary Wynn, Joseph Brapple, John Lockyer and Jno [John] Whichels. [The 'Southwell' was reported in August 1725 as lost off Lisbon].
