Petition. That she is the widow of Lieutenant-Colonel Hannibal de Guiraud, whose military service she details; that for her support and maintenance her son was given a commission by Queen Anne as a cornet in Colonel Surland's Regiment of Dragoons but was struck off the half pay list as a minor, was then on the Compassionate List but again struck off; that in 1726 she was allowed £20 from the same list and now having nothing upon which to subsist prays to be put on the Establishment of the Officers' Widows 'since she has lost what her late Majesty had been pleased to grant for her maintenance'.
