Part 2, Folio 156.
The writer took his leave from 'E' [?James Edgar, possibly] and 'S' [?Sir Thomas Sheridan, possibly] yesterday, and 'E' told him in confidence that 'le P' [?the Prince, Charles Edward Stuart, possibly] left Rome along with 'le comte Ivernes' [the Earl of Inverness], a nobleman [?James Murray, Jacobite earl of Dunbar], a valet [?Francis Strickland], and a cook. A couple of miles away 'P' waited for the mail coming from Germany. The departure had the appearance of being to Albanie [?the Jacobite summer residence at Albano] but 'le P' actually left via Porta del Popolo. 'E' doesn't know more about the journey, except that it is led by Monsieur Alberoni, and that he might be going to Vienna. 'E' added that the writer might learn something on his arrival in Berlin that would make him happy. [Dated in accordance with Charles Edward's tourn of northern Italy].
