A memorandum concerning the appointment of Secretary and Treasurer of Queen Anne's Bounty, a change in the law in 1714 granting to the Crown the authority to appoint them, and the governors' recommendation as to who should be appointed upon the first vacancy arising thereafter. The question is posed: 'if this is yielded to, will it not be, in effect, giving up to them the power of appointing these offices'? [In the hand of Charles Delafaye].
