Petition for granting of the title and honours of the Earl of Buckingham, Wriothesly [Russell], Duke of Bedford, Viscount Villiers, and Baron of Whaddon. Endorsed, by [Earl] Stanhope, with a referral to the Attorney General, Sir Robert Raymond, dated on 18 May 1720. (1) Affidavit of John Mannours [?Manners] concerning Lord Purbeck, who was killed in a duel at Liege on St George's day, circa 1684. Dated 12 January 1721. (2) Report of the Attorney-General, Sir Robert Raymond, recommending that the petition be referred to the House of Peers. Dated on 20 January 1721.
