Description

Folios 116-122. From Sir Richard Howe of Wisford [Great Wishford], Wiltshire. (1) Edw [Edward] Northey.

Petition for grant of letters patent for holding a fair to be called Yarnborow Castle Fair, in the parish of Steeple Langford, Wiltshire, on the 23 and 24 September in every year, with a referral from the Earl of Sunderland to the law officers, for their report. (1) Attorney-General's report in favour of the petition, dated on 13 February 1718. (2) Copies of the petition, and the Attorney-General's report, with this copy of the petition endorsed with the referral of [James] Stanhope, and dated on 5 December 1718.
