A letter advising of the arrival in Dover [Kent] of the French Ambassador's [the Duke of Broglie's] wife, in a 'London bye boat' of which one Knight was the master; expressing appreciation of Mr Cooper's advice concerning the apprehension of Lord Gerless [Garlies], and his expectation that one of Gordon's masters would be entrusted with the care of him; and informing of the arrival of Mr Lascelles from Brussels [Austrian Netherlands] via Calais [France].
