A letter concerning orders given to the [customs] officers at Dover [Kent] to treat the French Ambassador's [the Duke of Broglie's] wife with every regard; counters belonging to [Temple] Stanyan which have been stopped; and requesting to know if a ship's name might be provided to help with 'inquiries about the beef'.
