Part 2, Folio 23. From Forget de Beaulieu. To James Payzant.
A letter responding to Payzant's response to Beaulieu's earlier letter, defending himself against accusations of proposing to leave his wife and child, and of wasteful spending. He is still waiting for Lord Baltimore and his brother Monsieur Calvert. A ship is leaving for Maryland in five months, and he will try to save money for the passage, but renews his request for a loan of a couple of guineas. The money can be sent in the carriage which leaves from Charring Cross to Epsom [Surrey], and any money can be addressed to Mr Andrews at the 'Queen's Arms', Epsom. The money which Madame Ramsay owes him may be applied for.
