The petition of Joshua Francklyn, of Snead Park, Glouchestershire, for his invention of a 'new engine for planting and covering all sorts of corn and grain'. The petition is referred to the law officers by the Duke of Newcastle, in an endorsement dated on 4 July 1726. (1) Francklyn's affidavit, dated on 21 May 1726, and witnessed by Jos [Joseph] Chappell. (2) The Attorney General's report recommending Francklyn's petition, dated on 12 August 1726. [Note: Annex 2 of this item is bound in Part 2].
