Description

Part 1, Folios 115-116.

A petition from James Cherry, convicted of burglary at the Old Bailey [London], seeking a reprieve on the grounds of the dying confession of his brother-in-law, William Claridge, who claimed Cherry was innocent. The petition is endorsed by the Ch [?chaplain] of Newgate, James Guthrie, and keepers James Severe and John Murphy.
