The confession of David Thomas who was executed on 2 October 1725 for forgery, taken before John Philipps and Arthur Bevant, recorder, after examination by Reverend Daniel Lloyd, curate of St Peters. An affidavit is also entered on the document from Edward Kendrach, gaoler of Carmarthen, swearing that David Morgan, curate of Nerven, Pembrokeshire, visited David Thomas in gaol on 21 September 1726, making enquiries concerning Thomas Rowland. Mentions: William Morgans, of the Spurr Inn, Southwark, Surrey; Mr Vaudry, bookseller of Petty France [Middlesex]; Joseph Collingwood, who kept a music shop at Golden Spectale on the Ruby, London, and his journeyman Jones; Mr Hubbard, a bookseller; Thomas Jones, a Welshman, who delivered letters abroad; and John Shuggar, a bridge waterman.
