A draft of the deposition of Alex [Alexander] McDonald of Kill near the Naas, County Kildare, labourer, who says one Obryan [?Daniel O'Brien] approached him, with a group of Irishmen leaving the Envoy of Sardinia's chapel in Lincoln's Inn Field [Middlesex], in an effort to recruit them for Clare's [Jacobite] Regiment [in Spain] where they could have liberty of religion. Mentions the involvement of a brewer who lives in Rosemary Lane, Tower Hill [London]. McDonald was a servant of Mr Backham and Mr Benjamin Jones in Skinner Street [?Clerkenwell, London], brewer. Contains a description of Obryan [?O'Brien].
