Folios 203-204.

A petition for mercy from William Bucknall, convicted at the Warwickshire assizes of counterfeiting coin. Bucknall alleges he was seduced by Thomas Mousley, also convicted, when he was employed to cure Mousley's niece of her 'lunacy'. (1) A certificate signifying Bucknall's success in this field of medicine, with the names of numerous patients, and the names of those referring the patients, from the following towns: Atherstone and Mancetter [Warwickshire]; Higham on the Hill [Leicestershire]; Wykin [Shropshire][?Leicestershire]; Nuneaton [Warwickshire]; Witherly [Witherley, Leicestershire]; Tamworth [Warwickshire]; Clifton [?Clifton-upon-Dunsmore, Warwickshire]; Chilcote [?Charlecote, Warwickshire]; Bromley Regis [King's Bromley, Leicestershire]; Offley; Appley; Baggotts Bromley; Growlidge; Tatuall near Burton [?upon Trent, Staffordshire]; Cheadle [Staffordshire]; Teeld; Harliston [Harlaston, Staffordshire]; Haunton [?Haughton, Staffordshire]; Utoxeter [Uttoxeter, Staffordshire]. Certified by Edmd [Edmund] Seager, surgeon, and apothecaries Francis Fitzgerald and George Davis, all of Atherstone. (2) Report of Justice Ja [James] Reynold recommending mercy.
