Folios 169-170. From [?Charles Mildmay]. Place: Moulsham Hall [Essex].
A letter petitioning for the execution of John Buckly [Buckley], a prisoner in Chelmsford [Essex] Gaol, and Tom [Thomas] Watt's, the author's woodman, who was condemned at St Edmund Bury [Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk] assizes. The two have been menacing travellers on the road between London and Colchester [Essex]. The author mentions that Buckly burnt his haystack at Gallard Common, while he was in London attending Lord Maclesfield's trial.
