Requesting an audience with the King. Encloses a letter detailing his qualifications. Despite recommendations from Mr Delafaye, Sir Richard Steele, Mr Cracherode, and Mr Sam[uel] Buckley, to Sir Isaac Newton to be translator to the Royal Society, the post was awarded to Mr Solman.
