Enclosing a letter from the Bishop of Bristol relating to Jesus College [Oxford] 'and to submit it to their Excellencies at their meeting tomorrow, whether it might not be proper to get a provisional order from his Majesty to name a fellow for Jesus College if the Attorney [General] think it may be done' and 'it is certainly a matter of great consequence to the King's service to secure that College to the interest of the Government and this choice would effectually do it'.
