Complaining both of the malicious prosecution at the suit of Mr Symmons with the assistance of Mr Pinckney, for £1,000 the reward given him by the Government for his information 'of the treasonable practice lately carried on of washing and diminishing the gold coin of this kingdom' and his being held in close custody for more than eight days 'contrary to either law or equity'.
